• Loved it...warm, honest, bittersweet, full of love and respect for, "the family". Great family history honoring love ones passed who come alive and teach and remind us of lessons we need to remember. I laughed and cried and in the end came across feeling so proud of this wonderful family. The best to Galen and a second book.

• I give this book a 5 star rating!! I enjoyed reading this wonderful and interesting book of a family's history and journey through life, beginning with the 1700's through present times. This great author gives detailed insight to what life was really like back in the old days, emphasizing the importance of faith, values and purpose in life. There's much wisdom incorporated throughout this book. A must read! I plan to read this wonderful book again.

• Reading this was like sitting around and listening to family history. The stories told stir up many emotions. There were times I had to put it down and have a good cry. Then instances when I would be laughing so hard my family would come from far reaches of the house to find out what I was laughing at. I enjoyed the journey through different periods of this country's history and visualizing how it affected many of our families. To see how a basic faith in The Lord is the ground work for keeping families together. Not just in the good times, but particularly during times of trouble. I find it also personally inspiring to hunt down my own family stories. Its a good read, and I think it could be made into an enjoyable movie as well.
• Ok so I have to say that I don't like to read but when it came to this book I read it in 3 days which is incredible for me!! This book makes you feel like you are living right there inside of it! It takes you back in time to realize what life really was like and all the hardships that people went through and brings you to what could potentially be in our future!! I know I may be a little partial to this book but I have to say I'm so proud that the writer is my Dad!! 5 GIANT Stars!
