Rather than disqualify me for leaving a review, you could think that because I understand the 'behind-the-scenes' work done to get this volume out, I may have a more global view of the potential impact of this volume. There is a movement going on, about four years now, to catalyze leadership research and theorizing for women and by women. This volume compiles the most current thinking behind this important topic. As soon as the paperback version is released, this volume has the potential to impact the teaching of leadership as well as how leadership is conceptualized. The book draws from multiple disciplines and presents a multi-paradigm analysis of contemporary leadership theory for and about women leaders. While I won't require this book for the leadership class I teach (because it is a foundational leadership class not focused on any cross-cutting issue like gender), I definitely will have my doctoral students refer to chapters that are relevant to their leadership research. I will also use the book as a supplement to the interdisciplinary research courses I teach."

• This edited volume contains inspiring chapters on women leadership. It outlines a lot of research findings. It is useful for both scholars and practitioners. As a pioneer of women leadership, I can say that it is one of the finest books. Strongly recommended for reading.
