"Wish we would have read it for ourselves first but based on the overwhelming number of 5 star reviews and comments about young kids loving the stories, we mistakenly dove right into reading it with our daughter as soon as it arrived. It’s a good book and an excellent way to teach kids a high-level understanding of many of the stories of the Bible, but it is a WAY too “graphic†for young kids. Children shouldn’t be scared as a result of being read Bible stories and that’s what happened for us. This book is best suited for 6 and up in our opinion."

- We have many children's bibles, but this is my favorite for taking to church. It's not a comprehensive bible, so not every single story is in there, but it does a nice job of covering the major stories, which is what I love about it. It's small and light, easy to throw in a bag, and doesn't leave out major tenants if the Christian faith.
It's a hard cover book, but the cover is somewhat squishy. The pages are thick lamenated. These features make it very durable - perfect for toddlers and preschoolers. The overall size and weight of the book are also little kid friendly.
The stories are well written and the pictures are beautiful. You won't regret purchasing this for your children or as a gift. - I bought this to start reading to my 3 month old and we love it. She's still too young to be interested in it, but I love the illustrations and how simple the stories are to understand. It'll be a great book to read to her for a couple of years.
